I am a multi-disciplinary artist creating traditional art work that I call "Back to the Basics." Simply illustrating people, places and the things that make everyday life fun and culturally beautiful.
I work simultaneously with oils, acrylics, pastels, pencils, and ink. My surface selection, whether it be paper, recycled wood, or cotton canvas fabric, is built-up and enhanced with heavy two-dimensional textural properties.
I am inspired by beauty. Defined by "The Eyes of the Beholder". Beauty to me might be extremely large eyes, nose, or an irregular body shape. It may be the texture of a subject and the way light illuminates it. I am intrigued by the colors of nature, and the wonders of its habitat. My artistic themes derive from my life in France, travels throughout Greece, and memories of my ancestors during the Victorian Era in New York. More importantly, I am fascinated by the aesthetics, spiritual, and cultural lifestyle of people from every part of our world
